Course objectives
By successfully passing a University Foundation Programme you will be able to:
Gain access to a British university
Choose from a wide range of undergraduate degree courses
Have an IELTS qualification to impress universities and future employers
Have a good understanding of the British university system Course designed for students who want to:
Study at a British university but don't have A levels or equivalent qualification.
Study at a British university but need a higher IELTS grade
Follow a long term course before attending university at home
On successful completion of the course, you will eligible for entry into a number of undergraduate courses run by our partner universities.
The UFP prepares students for UK university courses in:

Hotel Management
The UFP is a nine month course, consisting of 30 english lessons per week, starting in September. It is run at three Regent centres - Oxford, Brighton and Edinburgh. All three centres are located in university cities offering excellent facilities for students. Each centre offers an accommodation service and there are organised excursions and activities every week.
You study modular courses in the following areas:
Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, Management, Marketing, Business Studies, Economics, Advanced English, IELTS Preparation, Personal Communication Skills, Computing, British Studies, Media Studies, Travel and Tourism and Maths for Business Students.
You acquire the following study skills during the course:
Writing skills, essay writing, presentations, reading academic text and participating in seminars.
You are required to complete five pieces of assessed academic coursework. Following these assessments you receive a final grade of Pass, Merit or Distinction.
Accelerated Foundation Programme
Students with limited time may take the Accelerated Foundation Programme (26 weeks) which starts in January. This intensive programme consists of 40 lessons per week and is suitable for students who have limited time. Who can apply?
You should:
Have completed secondary or high school
Be at least 18 years old at the end of the course
Have an IELTS score of 4.5,
TOEFL 133 (new test) or
Regent (Mid-Intermediate) Successful completion of the course
To successfully complete the UFP, you must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 and have achieved at least a Pass in the Academic coursework.
Application to University Our educational counsellor assesses your skills and advises you on the best courses and universities for you. You can meet representatives from universities at our mini fairs to discuss your plans. We provide help with the application process and advise you on what academic and IELTS grades are required for each university course.
