Undergraduate Access

Many international students wish to attend British Universities at First Degree (undergraduate) or Masters level. MLS has provided Access courses since 1987 and, in recent years, has introduced a Pre-Masters Degree programme as a recognised route to a number of British Universities. We co-operate with over thirty of the top British Universities and hundreds of our students have gained places successfully completing First Degree and Masters programmes.

Over recent years, students have been placed at some of the following universities and other higher education establishments: Lancaster, Oxford Brookes, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, UCE Birmingham, Strathclyde, Kent, Warwick, Brighton, Sheffield Hallam, Surrey, Bath, Bradford, Plymouth, Cardiff, Southampton Institute, Royal Holloway, Southampton, Salford, King's College London, Manchester Metropolitan, Aberdeen, Durham, Cardiff.

Throughout the Access and Pre-Masters Degree programmes at MLS a specialist senior lecturer is available to guide, direct and assess university entrance applications. We frequently welcome university staff to our College to meet our students and, in turn, MLS organises visits to various universities to assist students in their selection.

Entry Requirements

Students must have a minimum Intermediate level of English on arrival and have completed high school education in their own country. Evidence of completion, in the form of a School Leaving Certificate, should be enclosed with the enrolment form.

Students attending the Pre-Masters Course should provide evidence of their first degree or minimum five year relevant work experience.

English Testing

All students are tested on arrival by completing the standard MLS test and are assigned to English classes according to test results.
