Standard 20 - 20 courses per week

 LSI 30 Course for at least 4 weeks, to attain a high enough fluency with the language
 1 lesson: 45 minutes, 30 lessons per week
  Work placement, for a minimum of 4 weeks, followed by a further week's study

The LSI Study and Work Programmes give you an excellent opportunity to improve your fluency and gain valuable experience working in your host country. You begin the programme by taking an LSI 30 language course for a minimum of 4 weeks to develop communication skills and attain a high enough level in the language. Once you achieve upper-intermediate level you will be able to join our Work Experience Programme. We place you in a position closely related to your career interests or educational background, allowing you to gain the skills and confidence to pursue your chosen career.

After completion of the work placement you will return to the school for an additional week's tuition to build on what you have learnt, and evaluate your progress. In the USA long term placements of up to one year (including two month's study at LSI) are available. We require 12 weeks to process the application for the short term programme, and 16 weeks for the long-term placement (USA only). This includes the time needed for you to obtain the correct visa to enter the country. While on the Work Experience programme, interns do not receive remuneration (with the possible exception of travel and accommodation costs).
