Course Format

10 Introduction to Computer Skills lessons and 5, 10, 20 or 30 individual lessons per week of general English.

Course Objectives :

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  Use MS Office Professional (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  Take a suitable examination in computer literacy and information technology

Courses Description :

The course provides an opportunity for students to develop their knowledges and skills of information technology. Students can also take an internationally recognised qualifications to help build an impressive CV. We offer students the options to choose the areas in which they are most interested in building their skills. The area that Regent Language Training offers are:

CLAIT exam : Wordprocessing, Database, Spreadsheet,Computer Art, desktop Publishing, Graphical Representation of Data.

Internet Technologies exams : e.mails, Internet, Worl Wide Web.

Qualifications :

Students can take the Oxford, Cambridge, and RSA qualification in computer literacy and Information technology (CLAITS) in the areas above. This examination accredits basic competence in computer applications. The examination was established in 1984. Over 1 million people hold the CLAIT certificate worldwide. More advanced users can be tested through a higher level examination: The Oxford, The cambridge and RSA qualification in integrated business technology stage (IBT). Basic compretences in internet Technology is tested through the Oxford, Cambridge and RSA qualification in Internet Technologies stage 1.

Examination Procedure :

CLAIT and Internet Technology and IBT examination are avalable on demand in each Regent School. On the course, can prepare for the examination by taking practice assignements. The prices of the examination is about £16 each.

Computer available :

In each school we have powerfull Pentium-IBM-Compatible computerswith windows 98 with office professional (Microsoft, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access). The computers are conected to the internet and offer free e.mails and internet access.
