Many students already have adequate academic qualifications to progress to Higher Education in the UK. Most international students, however, need to possess a recognised English Language qualification before they can be accepted at UK Universities.
The MLS Academic Year Programme gives students the chance to improve their English Language skills. It prepares them for recognised English Language Examinations, as required by Universities (IELTS / TOEFL / TOEIC / FCE / CAE). The course also gives students a chance to improve their study skills in an English-speaking environment.
The MLS Study Skills modules cover areas such as Information Technology, Presentations, Report Writing, Essay Preparation, Note-taking, Lecture / Seminar experience.
The MLS International Business Communication modules cover:
Report, Letter, Memo, Fax and E-mail Writing, Summarising and Note-Taking, Telephoning, Taking and Giving Messages, Presentations, Negotiations, Meetings, Preparing a Curriculum Vitae/Resume, Interviewing, Promotional Literature and Advertising Copy, Press Release Writing.
General English:
